As a veteran, I have come to appreciate the meaning of Memorial Day … not for the BBQ parties with family and friends, but for the honoring of the women and men that have served our country. Their sacrifices provide and maintain the freedoms we enjoy today.
Do you remember the first dinner date with the love of your life?
Most times it was scary and exciting at the same time. All you thought about was how to impress them. You fretted over how to make the perfect meal. Agonizing over what to make, you searched every possible medium. Finally, in your panic, you called mom.
When you think back to your childhood. What are some of your fondest memories? One of mine has always been the holidays. That time when the family gets together and puts all differences aside and enjoys fellowship, and food.
Growing up as afamily, we would go on long extended vacations. We would only take with usan oversizedtent, at the beginning, and a pull behind pop-up trailer tent toward the end. All our provisions packed up on the roof of the car, a' la Griswalds, and just head out.
